New Client? What to expect.
BEFORE YOUR MASSAGE
Making you feel comfortable is my first priority. To give me more information on how best I can help you, you will need complete a brief client intake form prior to your first session. The form, along with your appointment confirmation, will be emailed to you after you have booked an appointment. Booking an appointment can either be done online or via email or phone.
Once you arrive for your appointment we will go over any questions that you may have for me, and I may ask you additional questions to make your session worthwhile. I’ll then step outside the room and give you time to get comfortable and relaxed under the blanket on the massage table.
Most massage techniques are usually done while a client is unclothed, but that option is entirely upon your discretion. In other words, undergarments can be left on or off. Either way, you will be properly covered throughout the massage.
During Your Massage
Do your best to relax, you deserve it. Allow me to do all the work, including moving your arms, legs, head, etc. Bolsters, pillows, table warmer, etc are available for added comfort.
It’s important for you to let me know if any of the massage techniques I use causes any pain. The goal is to not cause you pain, but there may be a certain level of discomfort and a “good ache” when I’m working on a problem area. It’s also important to let me know if anything is outside your tolerance level during the massage. Letting me know these things will make your massage more effective.
After Your Massage
After your massage, you should expect to feel relaxed. If your goal was to address any specific pain issues, you may immediately feel relief, or it may also take a day or two before you feel relieved. Although it rarely occurs, soreness can happen after a massage. If you are ever too sore after a massage, kindly let me know so that I can make notes and make the proper adjustments on your next massage appointment.
